Goodbye Alpha Taurihello Alpine ! The day after the farewells with the Faenza team, Pierre Gasly joined his new stable for 2023 on Monday. The Norman discovered the garage and the single seater French on the eve of post-season testing at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. The winner of the 2020 Italian Grand Prix was able to settle into the A522 to mold his seat and carry out the first installation steps in his new car.
Dressed in a gray jumpsuit free of any sponsor – contractual obligation with AlphaTauri until December 31, 2022 – Pierre Gasly was able to wear a new special helmet for his post-season tests. A white and black helmet, adorned with his number and logo on the top. For the first time since his arrival in F1, no mention of Red Bull or AlphaTauri does not appear on the Norman’s helmet…
The French pilot will pilot the Alpine A522 on Tuesday at the Yas Marina circuit for two days of driving. Tests that will allow him to understand the behavior of the single-seater while learning the manipulations to be carried out with the engineers.
