Repair bonus: mobile phones, computers, flat screens, how to get the aid of 45 euros to repair electrical and electronic devices?

The aid will be put in place as of December 15. Here are the terms.

A financial boost but also an ecological measure which makes it possible to fight against the obsolescence of products. This Tuesday, November 15, the Minister for Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, Christophe Bechuannounced the establishment of a “repair bonus” starting December 15. In practice, customers wishing to have their electrical appliances will receive assistance, deducted directly at the cash desk. And this is not negligible. Since the aid will go from 10 to 45 euros.

A system set to expand to other types of products

From December 15, therefore, customers will be able to go to one of the 500 approved repairers (“QualiRépar”) to have a device among the thirty eligible types repaired. According to ecosystem.eco, “31 types of equipment are concerned: vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, mobile phone, television, computers, steam generator, stove, drill, toaster, coffee machine, etc. The repair bonuses amount to from €10 for a toaster, for example, to €45 for a desktop or laptop computer and remain fixed, regardless of the nature of the repair. Please note that the bonus only applies to equipment that is no longer under guarantee”.

In the following years, the system will be extended to other types of devices (fryers, printers, robots, microwaves in 2024, mobiles, hair dryers, air conditioners, fans in 2025…) while 1,500 repairers are expected by 2023.
