Ligue 1 – J15: the notes of the Dogues after LOSC – Angers SCO

Facing the red lantern of Ligue 1, Lille won thanks to a goal from Tiago Djalo. Here are our notes from the Mastiffs after this meeting.

Lucas Knight (6): If he only suffered two shots on target, the young Lille goalkeeper was good on his ground and aerial outings to achieve his third clean sheet of the season.

Timothy Weah (4.5): Again aligned to the position of right side, the American international did not have the same offensive performance as against Rennes with a compact block from the Angevins. Defensively, he was also surprised several times behind his back, even if this is made possible by his very high position in Lille’s animation.

Jose Fonte (6.5): One of Lille’s best on the pitch. The captain often tried to boost the rhythm of his sleeping team and even allowed himself a few breakthroughs in the opposing camp. Also author of good interventions in front of Salama and Sima.

Tiago Djalo (7.5): Sole scorer of the match, the number 3 Lille had an almost perfect match in his reading of the game, his ability to be one of the first raisers of the team but also by his defensive interventions.

Bafodé Diakite (5): In this role of third central defender at the restart, he was not necessarily put in difficulty defensively and had a limited contribution on the offensive level, leaving the animation of his corridor to Bamba and Cabella.

Benjamin Andre (4.5): Unrecognizable for much of the game, he lost a huge number of single balls and seemed to have struggled to get into his game with many aerial duels lost. Despite everything, he remained in his match with the commitment that we know him.

Angel Gomes (5.5): Back in a lower position, the young Englishman was consistently accurate in his short and long game. Defensively, he also recovered several balls by harassing the opposing ball carrier.

Adam Ounas (4): In a more interior position than usual with the tenure of Weah, the Algerian was not very precise in his game and seemed to play too easily in certain situations which required a simpler game. He gets a good situation on the hour mark but the Angevin goalkeeper had come out well.

Remy Cabella (6): Author of his fifth assist of the season on the goal of Djalo, the Lille number 10 did not have the same influence as in recent weeks but he was always available and useful in the time of possession of the Mastiffs.

Jonathan Bamba (3.5): Without Ismaily, he seems struggling and borrowed. He missed many gestures, made the wrong choices offensively to finish the game having lost a third of his balls touched (21 out of 62). A game to forget.

Jonathan David (4): If he gives a good ball to Ounas on the hour mark, it is the only time we have seen him influence the team’s attacking game. Faced with the three central Angevins, he never managed to gain the upper hand and did not weigh in the meeting.
