Jay Briscoe dies aged 38

Sad news for the world of wrestling with the announcement by Tony Khan of the death of Jamin Pugh better known by his ring name, Jay Briscoe at the age of 38, in a car accident in Laurel, Delaware.

Jay Briscoe was the current Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Champion with his brother Mark. A title they won for the 13th time against FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) on December 10th. For 20 years, they have made tag team wrestling shine on the ROH side with their talent in the ring, but also with their extraordinary personality.

The entire Catch-Newz team sends its condolences to the family and loved ones of Jay Briscoe.

“Much to our sadness, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was an ROH star for over 20 years, from the first show until today.

Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions until today. We will do everything we can to support his family.

Rest in peace Jamin.”
