ATP – Finals > Djokovic in control

It was the 12e times Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas played each other, and Nole left with a real advantage with nine wins including eight in a row.

The match was almost decisive after Rublev’s surprise win over Medvedev earlier on Monday. He also kept all his promises with a high level tennis, offensive and precise on both sides of the net.

In the first round, Djokovic managed to break from the start and kept this advantage despite the onslaught of the Greek. In the second set, the standoff was maintained except in the tie-break where Stefanos still had his arm shaking (1-4).

It was enough for Djokovic to complete the meeting with authority: 6-4, 7-6 (4), and confirm his favorite status on this Masters.

For his part, Stefanos no longer has the right to make mistakes. His defeat already deprives him of a possible and improbable place of world number 1.
